Well, the summer is flying by - and its been a busy one! We bought a house, put ours on the market and sold it, and now we are moving in 4 weeks! SO crazy! We have lived in our home (our first real home together outside of a condo in Austin for a couple months) for 8 years. We have brought our babies home to it, walked ever so softly down the hall thousands of times, chipped a tooth on the floor, had many a pizza night watching the mavs/cowboys/rangers in the living room. There are lots of good memories in this house - its been a great home and we will miss it. But, we are so thrilled for a new home (only a few miles away) and cant wait to move in! This process has kept us quite busy, (as you can tell by my lack of posting) but we have had a great summer so far! I offered my first DSLR camera Workshop and really enjoyed it. We actually spent almost a week at my parents when our house was on the market. The kids loved it- lots of extra attention! Zoe is quite taken with her Loli - along with her pretty dresses, jewels, and shoes. Its quite cute. Chasey of course loves everyone- especially if you have food, or let him go outside. Thankfully this summer has only had a few days over 100 so we have played outside and of course gone swimming quite a bit. We have also made several trips to the lake. Z loves it of course, Chaser is a little more challenging still as he doesnt like to be confined. And of course, both kids eat the ENTIRE time. What is is about the lake that makes you hungry? We have taken just Zoe out a couple times with friends and stayed out till almost 10 and she has had a fab time! Zoe girls imagination has grown exponentially and she now loves playing in her room, by herself, with her dollies, animals, and dr tools. She is also obsessed with Doc McStuffins. She drs her animals and babies, puts them to bed, takes them to the store, to swim lessons, etc all in her little imagination. She has a purse of "dr tools" (which really is a very strange assortment of bracelets, ribbon, and other small toys), and she uses Chase's wagon to cart around another assortment of random toys. All those toys have to stay in the wagon- or Zoe is NOT cool with it. At bedtime, they all have to be back in her room, in the wagon. Maybe its her way to reacting to the change, not sure. She has been to the new house, and loves her new room, and keeps telling me that all her things like her bed, and her toys, and her books, and her "tree" will all be in her new room too! She is swimming up a storm and can easily swim across the pool and back herself. Chaser loves the pool too, but really just likes to climb in and out, up and down the steps. He is loving the little house on the porch we gave them for Christmas. They both like to play "ice water" in the house. Basically I give them a bowl of ice water and lots of cups. They love it! Who knew that could be so entertaining! Chase is getting to be such a big boy. Late June he started to give me kisses (open mouth smoothes) when I sing him to sleep. Its SOOOOOO sweet. I always give him lots of kisses when im singing and now he does it back. He has also gotten big enough that he can now open our doors! EEk! Not ready for that! And today, he started jumping! And he was so thrilled with himself and laughed so hard when we would jump with him. He cant quite get both feet off the ground at the same time- but he is so close! He is pointing at things he wants. Still no go on the signing - though I have not been so great with it with him. One of these days. And he is totally loving is art class- though he does always taste test the paint. ha! Oh, and his hair, is almost white- he looks just like his daddy when he was a toddler. SO cute. Anyways. So, here we go, count down to moving and to J and I's 9 year anniversary- that same week!
