Summer Fun

Well, its been a very busy May/June around here!  Obviously, by my lack of posting.  J started a new job and was able to take off 2 weeks between jobs the last half of May.  It was WONDERFUL!  It was so fun to have daddy around for 2 whole weeks when we really didint have any plans.  Of course, we jam-packed those days with lots of fun things - arboretum, lake, arboretum concerts,

camping, waco, zoo.  Everything we could possibly fit in- we did.  Its nice to get back out on the boat - albeit not as relaxing with Mr Chase.  Little dude does not like being confined by either the life jacket or the boat.  But just make sure and bring plenty of snacks :)  We had some near perfect water days though.  We went camping with a couple of our friends for church and had a great time. Zoe however, said her favorite part was the hot tub on the porch.  We took the kids on a 1mile hike.  Lets just say Chase hiked better than Zoe- by a longshot.   He was all over the place.  The guy has NO fear- zero.  He is going to make me prematurely gray.  The other day, I walked into the playroom and there was Chase, standing on the playroom table chair, holding paper for his sister to cut with scissors. (kid ones, but still)  Seriously...  We spent Memorial day weekend in waco and had a blast as usual, though I think our go go go pace from the prior 2 "daddy" weeks finally took its tole.  Last post I said we were on the upswing.. well that weekend was officially the bottom-out.  Yikes,  But we are doing better.  Chase is just getting faster and faster and falling everywhere because he is not being as careful (i guess).  He weighs 25.5 lbs now!    They both did swim lessons and both loved it, of course.  Chase is all about the water and is totally unfazed by going under.  Zoe is swimming great and Im sure will be swimming the length of the pool by the summer. My water babies!
