Kauai

Justin, Zoe and I just got back from the most wonderful trip to Kauai.  It was 7 days of fun, relaxation, and perfect weather.  Though we did spend quite a bit of time hanging out at the beach, we actually did quite a bit as well.  My parents came with us so they watched Zoe while Justin and I went and did our thing.

We hiked Waimea Canyon.  Zoe absolutely loved bouncing around on Daddy.  She smiled the whole way.  We for whatever reason hadnt used the Baby Bjorn that much before but she really enjoyed it.

It was so beautiful at the top. And as always in Hawaii, lots of rainbows.

This was also Zoe's first trip to the beach.  She was not the biggest fan of the Ocean.  I think it was a little too loud for her so she pretty much stuck to the pool.

I had to put this pic in to show off her teeth!  Cruising (or at least standing) is now one of Zoe's favorite pastimes.

Justin and I also went Ziplining which was a lot of fun.  The biggest one we did was 1800 ft.  It was gorgeous above all the trees.

Justin and Zoe had SO much fun together.  She loves to be up on his shoulders.

Tuesday night we went to our favorite restaurant on the island, the Beach House.  Its right on the beach and the sunsets are beautiful.  Plus we always try to eat every meal outside while we are there.

One of our adventures was to go on a big catamaran and snorkel off the Napali Coast.  It was stunning.  Thankfully the waters were pretty calm the day we went.  They had been having 13 ft swells the week before.  Since it was reasonably calm, we were able to sit up on the tramps in the front of the boat on the way back and bounce as we hit the waves.  It was a little chilly, but a lot of fun.

And to add to a great trip, Zoe was a superstar on the 8 hrs of flying there and back.  Cried maybe 2 minutes tops.  Zoe, you are my sunshine!  Way to go!  (not that I had any doubts).
