Boat

Boat Boat - thats Zoe's new favorite word.  She asks for the boat all the time.  Due to some boat maintenance we havent been out all that much this summer, but last weekend we spent the day up on Texoma on Pappy's boat.  She had the best time.  She actually asks for her lifejacket to be put on!  We played on the sandy beach.  I was really excited she liked it since she has shown such a distaste for sand in the past.. still not a huge fan of having it on her hands and would ask for it to be washed off, but she did have a good time digging around in it.  Daddy had fun too :)  I think he is just waiting for the day they can build sandcastles together.  We took her up to the cabin to take a nap, but she would have none of that and just kept asking for the boat.  So she took a few catnaps on the boat in LaLa's lap.  It was a fun day!

In other news we have been doing really well on our new schedule and independent play in her crib in the mornings.  She usually goes about 25 minutes with no whining!  I think she actually really enjoys it because she has started to lift her hands up to be put in as soon as I start putting toys in the crib.  Best toy - her piggy bank.  She sure loves to put those coins in!

She is saying more and more words too and said her first sentence last week.  We were looking at the photobooks (a new favorite activity) and she said "That's Momma!" at my picture.   She looked though one for almost 25 minutes the other day.

We also go her first haircut today!  I had been thinking about it, then someone random compared her hair to a mullet, followed by my mom commenting that it was looking a little shabby.  So, off to Snip Its!  She loved the place.. lots to look at and kept asking for more - which she now says all the time - "Moah"   which follows right behind "Eat" for her most used words.  That girl wants to eat all day!  Anyway, she was really good for the stylist so we went to JD's Chippery to get a cookie afterwards.  This was for sure her favorite part :)

and some pictures of my little fish swimming
