3 weeks
Little man is 3 weeks old this week - crazy! He has changed so much already! His little face and belly have rounded out - his belly is huge! And Chase proved his strength to me- he ROLLED OVER this week - yes, my 2.5 week old rolled from his tummy to his back. Unreal. At his 2 week checkup he was 8 lbs 2 oz (50%) and 20" (45%)He has been pretty good as far as newborns go, though I will say (from what I can remember) he does cry quite a bit more than Zoe did. He hasn't quite figured out how to soothe himself back to sleep yet and also doesn't like to lay flat on his back. He has been spending a lot of time in the bouncy seat and the basinet! But this week he has started to go down well at night after I feed him - yea! He loves being held and it a little bit demanding about it! We have gotten out a couple times which does me (and Zoe) a world of good. We had a family picnic at the Arb today and he was great and slept most of the way though it. We are really trying to enjoy these last few days of cool(ish) days before summer hits. We have been eating on the patio almost every night which Zoe loves. J and Zoe had their first real swim in the pool yesterday. I of course refrained because in my opinion its still freezing! But it did not seem to phase Zoe as she really did not want to get out! They got in again today and She just loved it. She is going to be a prune by the end of summer! Zoe is spending most of her time these days playing with her babies (usually actual stuffed animals and dolls as opposed to pantry items). She is SO sweet when she is playing with them and is so gentle and caring towards each one, changing their diaper, etc. She will set them down oh so gently or give them a hug and kiss and sway and pat their back. Its so adorable to watch. She always asks for 2 more minutes to play "her babies" when she goes to bed. Needless to say she is eating up Chase too. I love the way she looks at him with a grin on her face. Priceless...
